Made from iron rich wild clay collected from Ahumata (White Cliffs) on Aotea, Great Barrier Island. Ahumata is a significant mountain for local iwi, Ngāti Rehua Ngātiwai ki Aotea, traditional indigenous kaitiaki (caretakers) of the island. Part of a grouping of pots (see The Kiss II) glazed with a lush limestone glaze, and enhanced with lacquer and brass kintsugi.
