Description

These are beautiful little objects in their own right.  Suitable and safe for installing in aquariums, they will create their own miniature eco-systems in that environment.  Otherwise they are are are delight to turn over in one's hands, and sit on the shelf as a conversation piece.  Inspired by Elise's interest in preserving our ocean environment, they are made by collecting sponges that have washed up onto the beach during storm surges, and carefully casting them in porcelain and glazes.  Each one is a unique cast of a once-living seasponge.
